RAPIDKNOWHOW® — THE DECISION COMPANY™ · CML BUYER STANDARD MASTER · DACH + CEE · 2027
LOWER TOTAL COST. RELIABLE GAS. STRONGER FREE CASH FLOW.
The industrial gas BUYER sets the economic and performance standard. Competing qualified SELLERS independently offer solutions that meet it. RapidKnowHow® is the neutral ENABLER: we provide the Commercial Market Leadership (CML) method, decision tools and separately agreed IP application rights.
ONE DECISION: Select the safest, most reliable industrial gas solution with the lowest verified total cost per good manufactured unit — not simply the cheapest gas quote.
● ENTER — Define buyer standard → ● SELECT — Compare seller responses → ● ACT — Prove cash value
THE CML BUSINESS MODEL
| Stakeholder | One responsibility | Value created |
|---|---|---|
| BUYER — LEADS | Owns the site standard, measurable requirements and supplier decision | Uptime, lower TCO, productivity, FCF |
| SELLER — RESPONDS | Independently proposes and fulfils the buyer’s performance requirements | Profitable growth, retention, customer trust |
| RAPIDKNOWHOW — ENABLES | Provides neutral CML frameworks, AI-supported analysis and licensed IP | Reusable method, transparent fees, licence revenue |
Safety, product quality, technical suitability and applicable regulation are mandatory conditions. Price and productivity improvements must never override them.
FOUR TOOLS — FROM STANDARD TO PROVEN VALUE
01 · BUYER STANDARD SHEET — Set the rules
Fill in: Manufacturing site and application; gas type and purity; annual usage; production output; required delivery reliability; backup coverage; quality and safety conditions; current annual total cost; baseline gas-related downtime.
Set the decision standard: Total gas-related cost per good unit produced, with minimum safety, quality and reliability thresholds. Require each supplier to state assumptions, service responsibilities and evidence in the same format.
OUTPUT: ONE signed, buyer-owned performance standard and comparable supplier request. Buyers own their purchasing criteria; RapidKnowHow retains its underlying CML methodology.
02 · BUYER SWOT + SELLER RESPONSE — Select strategically
| SWOT lens | Buyer question | Seller’s independent response |
|---|---|---|
| Strengths | Which processes, data and people work well? | Show how existing capabilities meet the site standard. |
| Weaknesses | Where do downtime, losses and hidden costs arise? | Offer technical remedies and accountable service levels. |
| Opportunities | Where can yield, reliability or cash improve? | Quantify the improvement plan and commercial offer. |
| Threats | What could disrupt supply, quality or cost? | Propose compliant contingency measures and performance evidence. |
Buyer decision: Compare independently submitted proposals on the same weighted criteria. Recommended priority: safety and quality as pass/fail, then reliability, TCO, productivity and proof quality. Define weights before reviewing bids.
03 · TCO + FCF WORKSHEET — Prove the economics
Annual industrial gas TCO = Gas purchased + delivery and rental + equipment/energy/handling/maintenance + incremental gas-related quality and interruption costs + any service fees.
Core KPI = Annual gas-related TCO ÷ good manufactured units. Adjust before/after comparisons for volume, product mix and significant price changes. Count each cost once: for example, avoid counting already purchased leaked gas a second time.
| Illustrative buyer case | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Gas and delivery | €200,000 | €190,000 |
| Equipment, energy, handling, maintenance | €60,000 | €50,000 |
| Actual gas-related losses and interruptions | €40,000 | €20,000 |
| New optimization service fee | — | €10,000 |
| Annual TCO | €300,000 | €270,000 |
| 100,000 good units | €3.00 / unit | €2.70 / unit |
Illustrative recurring operating improvement: €30,000 per year (10%). This is not automatically Free Cash Flow. Calculate incremental FCF after actual tax effects, cash investment, changes in working capital and the cash realization of downtime or quality gains. Record the seller’s contribution and service costs separately.
Illustrative teaching assumptions — NOT verified customer savings or a forecast.
04 · 30-DAY PROOF + IP GATE — Implement ONE improvement
| Days | Buyer-led action | Deliverable |
|---|---|---|
| 1–7 | Approve the standard and verify baseline with purchasing, operations and finance. | One agreed TCO baseline and KPI owner |
| 8–21 | Invite qualified seller responses; select and safely test ONE practical improvement. | Documented pilot and independently proposed terms |
| 22–30 | Measure results against baseline; verify net cash benefits; decide stop, improve or scale. | Signed value-proof record and next decision |
PROVE BEFORE SCALE. Reuse of RapidKnowHow CML templates within a purchased Action Guide is limited to the guide’s stated use rights. Broader redistribution, partner implementation and IP licensing require a separate written agreement. Do not exchange sensitive competitors’ bids, pricing or customer data between sellers.
WHERE TO START IN DACH + CEE — 2027
Apply the buyer-led standard first at ONE manufacturing plant in a selected industrial cluster. The Brno–Bratislava–Vienna manufacturing corridor is an initial hypothesis, not a confirmed customer programme. Start with an urgent, measurable gas-reliability or total-cost problem; widen only after verified proof.
